Description
Rose Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Church Street in West Hanney. The building features a rendered exterior, likely on stone rubble, with irregular timber-framing and painted brick infill on the ground floor. Above, the timber-framing continues with rendered infill. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with a central stone ridge stack that has an 18th-century brick flue attached to the right side. The house is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range with irregular fenestration, including two-light casements and two swept dormers with three-light casements. On the left side, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a 20th-century open porch. The interior has not been inspected.
