Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 17th century, with an 18th-century cross-wing and some 20th-century alterations. The building features a brick plinth on the cross-wing, stone uncoursed rubble, and a complex stone slate roof. There are brick ridge stacks located to the left of the center and on the cross-wing. Originally designed as a two-unit lobby-entry plan, it has been modified into an L-plan structure.

The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range on the main section and a four-window cross-wing to the right. A single-storey-and-attic gabled porch is positioned to the left of center, featuring a studded door with a wooden lintel. There is a two-panel door to the left of the cross-wing and a plank door to the right of center on the cross-wing. The windows exhibit irregular spacing, mostly consisting of 20th-century casements with wooden lintels.

Notable features include 17th-century four-light wooden mullion windows on the first floor to the left and to the right of center, which have ovolo-moulded mullions. A cross-gable to the left has a two-light casement, and there are two full gabled dormers on the cross-wing, each with two-light casements. The rear of the building also has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range. A two-panel door is located to the left of center, topped with a flat stone arch. The rear features two-light casements in all openings, with leaded lights on the first floor, except for the 20th-century windows in a projecting addition to the right. There are also two gabled full dormers at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
