Description

This drinking fountain, located approximately 40 meters north of the Town Hall in Wallingford's Market Place, was created around 1885 and cast by Walter Macfarlane's foundry in Glasgow. It is made of cast iron and features decorative fluted columns that support a domed canopy topped with a painted finial. In the center, there is a circular fountain on a pedestal. The fountain was presented by Alderman Hawkins in 1885, later removed to the Bullcroft, and returned to its original site in 1979.
