EYE AND DUNSDEN PLAYHATCH SU77NW 9/57 Post Cottage 09/02/59 GV II Cottage. C18 with C20 additions and alterations. Large timber framing with brick infill; brick to right hand return; plain tile roof; brick centre ridge stack. Probably lobby entry plan. Main front to south. Timber framing to ground floor under lean-to roof with sloping C20 roof lights. Timber framing to first floor. Right return to road. C20 sash door to left. Rear C20 cross- gabled timber frame 2-storey extension. Irregular fenestration of C20 windows. Occupies a prominent position with its main front at right angles to street. Included for group value.
