Description

Townsend Farmhouse barn is a structure from the mid to late 18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a brick plinth, topped with a Welsh-slate roof. The barn has a three-bay plan and includes opposed central full-height doors and a half-hipped roof. Inside, there is a clasped-purlin roof supported by short curved under-principals. This barn is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
