Description

Townsend Farmhouse is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse built of purple brick with red gauged-brick arches, and has a Welsh-slate roof and brick stacks. It is a double-depth plan building with a semi-basement level, and two storeys. The front elevation has three windows, featuring 16-pane sashes, with a longer sash on the right-hand side at ground floor. The left return wall also possesses similar sashes, along with a wooden porch with stone steps and a wrought-iron handrail. The roof is hipped and has two spans. The interior has not been inspected.
