Description

The Old Rectory is an 18th-century rectory, later used as a house. It’s constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings, and has a Welsh-slate roof with brick gable stacks. The building follows a double-depth plan and has two storeys plus attics. The symmetrical front has three windows and a central, pedimented glazed porch. The windows are margin-light sashes with ashlar dressings. The roof has deep eaves with paired modillion brackets and two roof dormers. Gable walls feature chimney projections and segmental-arched windows, all with brick quoins. The rear slope of the roof is shallower and may be an alteration. The interior has not been inspected.
