Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring some ashlar dressings and brickwork, topped with an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building has a central-stair plan with two rear wings and stands two storeys tall. The front has four windows and includes an ashlar storey band and a stone eaves cove. There is a six-panel door located to the right of centre, sheltered by a flat stone canopy, and twelve-pane sash windows with heavy timber lintels. The ground-floor sash window on the extreme left is blocked, while another sash window has been inserted beside it. The front is flanked by full-height stepped ashlar buttresses, likely added in the early 19th century. The roof is hipped to the left, and the lower rear wings, made of rubble and brick, have casement windows. Inside, there are old plank doors with heavy frames located in the rear wings.
