Description

This barn, located 40 meters west of Townsend Manor Farm House, dates from the 18th century and consists of two construction phases. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and sits on a brick plinth. The two later bays on one side have cob walls, while the end wall is made of brick. The barn has a thatched roof and is designed with five bays in an aisle configuration, with two additional bays added to the right. It includes long mullioned windows and a door in the added bays, as well as double doors in the third bay from the left. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and hipped on the right side.
