Description

Darkwood Farm Barn, located approximately 15 meters east of the farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick quoins and vertical strips, featuring weatherboarded gable ends and a half-hipped old tile roof. The barn has a gabled porch that includes brick cross banding and a segmental brick arch over a plank door, which is adjacent to a right outshut. There is a double entry at the rear. Inside, the barn has a three-bay collar-truss roof with clasped purlins and curved inner principals.
