Description
Chear’s Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse located in Swyncombe Park Corner. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick quoins and dressings, and has a gabled old tile roof with brick ridge and rear left stacks. The original plan comprised two units. The farmhouse is one storey and an attic, with a three-window front. A central gabled two-storey porch features a segmental brick arch over the doorway, which has a 20th-century door. The ground-floor windows are 20th-century casements set within segmental brick arches, and the attic features 20th-century casements in dormers. A brick plinth and storey bands are present. A one-storey and attic rear wing is built of brick and tile. The interior has not been inspected.
