Description

Bridgefoot Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 18th century, with a rear wing added in 1781. The building features a rubblestone ground floor and right gable elevation, complemented by brick dressings. The upper floor and left gable elevation, along with the rear wings, are also constructed of brick. The farmhouse stands two storeys plus an attic, with the rear wings being 1½ storeys. It has two bays and a central six-panel door beneath a flat hood. The windows are primarily three-light casements, with a single light above the door and a two-light window in the right bay on the first floor. A brick band course runs around the building. The east gable elevation showcases brick band courses and features two-light casements on the upper floors and three-light casements on the ground floor. The rear wing is made of chequer brick and includes a date brick marked '1781', along with a modern gabled rear wing.

Inside, the right-hand room on both the ground and first floors has two chamfered and stopped spine beams, as well as a cambered and stop-chamfered fireplace lintel. The left-hand room on both floors contains single stop-chamfered spine beams. The attic roof features curved principal trusses.
