Description
Nos. 7 and 8 Watlington Street is a house that has been converted into two cottages. It dates from the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension on the right. The building is rendered, likely over timber-framing, and features a plain old tile roof with a chimney stack made of 17th-century bricks. The structure has a lobby entry plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century ribbed door with a gabled hood. To the left, there are two 19th-century casement windows. The front of the projecting extension on the right has a 20th-century sash door, and the first floor features two 3-light 20th-century metal casements. Additionally, there is a 20th-century angled bay with a flat roof on the first floor at the front of the extension. The building has a central ridge stack, and timber-framing is visible under the render on the right return. The interior has not been inspected.
