Description
Park Cottage is a cottage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century on the right bay, with the left side dating from the later 18th century. The building is constructed of flint rubble with brick dressings and features a gabled old tile roof with a brick ridge stack. It originally had a one-unit plan that has been extended to a two-unit lobby-entry plan. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has a two-window range. Notable features include carved brackets supporting a flat hood and fluted architraves around a 20th-century door. There are segmental brick arches over late 19th-century three-light casements and a late 19th-century two-light dormer. A 20th-century porch has been added to the right side wall. Inside, the cottage includes a late 18th-century brick fireplace and old beams.
