Description
Parson's Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from colourwashed limestone rubble, with some areas of rendered timber framing. It features an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a three-unit, lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall, plus attics. The front has three windows, including a plank door located to the right of centre, three-light casements with arched lights in the centre bay, three-light 20th-century casements in the left bay, and a two-light casement with iron small-pane lights at ground floor in the right bay. The upper part of the right bay has timber framing that returns and is tile-hung around the gable wall. The roof is half-hipped to the right and features a large brick stack aligned with the door. The left gable includes a leaded attic casement. At the rear, there are additional 20th-century casements, and part of the building has been rebuilt where a former rear wing was demolished. Inside, there is a large internal stack and a butt-purlin roof.
