Description

Pond Farmhouse is probably 17th century, with extensions added in the early to mid-18th century. Constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, it features rubble walls with squared quoins and an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape.

The symmetrical two-window front, dating from the 18th century, has a prominent storey band linked to keyblocks. The central entrance is a 6-panel door, flanked by 3-light leaded casement windows. Similar windows are located at the first floor, all with stone flat arches. The gable walls project large, stepped chimneys.

A lower, earlier range extends to the rear, incorporating leaded half dormers and casement windows. A rear wing, to the left, also features leaded casements. The interior has not been inspected.
