Description

The boundary wall of Number 17 (Grenville Lodge) along Fairmile dates from the 19th century. It stands 6 feet high and is constructed of red brick with a half round brick coping. This wall is part of the same structure as that of the New House nearby. There is a central wooden gate with a tiled hood above it. The listed walls and gate piers of No 17A, The New House, No 17, and those at Nos 2 to 8 (even) Henley Park opposite create a group with No 17 (Grenville Lodge), Nos 23 to 27 (odd), and Nos 2 to 8 (even) opposite.
