Description

This is a late 18th century building, originally with a brick stucco facade. It has a hipped roof covered in old tiles. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with 18th century sash windows set within moulded architraves. A small window is located centrally on the first floor. A trellis porch provides access to the front door, which is panelled with six panels, though the top two have been removed. The building forms a group with the listed walls and gate piers associated with 17A, The New House, 17 (Grenville Lodge), and numbers 2 to 8 (even), and 23 to 27 (odd) on one side of the road, and numbers 2 to 8 (even) on the opposite side, all contributing to a unified setting.
