Description
The boundary wall of Portland Cottage, located along the street to the north of the house, is an early 19th-century red brick structure. It stands 6 feet high and features a cornice below a half-round coping. A door has been cut through near the house, and a few feet surrounding this area have been rebuilt in the same style. Although the last few yards of the wall are technically in Fairmile, they are all listed here under Northfield End. This wall, along with No 45, Meeting House Cottage, Nos 51 to 61 (odd), and Portland Cottage with its garden wall, forms a group with No 46, Magnolia Cottage, Northlea and its former coach house, Easby House and its former coach house, and Nos 70 to 84 (even) opposite.
