Description
Lovegrove Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. The building features painted brick on the left side of the ground floor, while the rest is rendered timber-framing. It has a thatched roof that is half hipped to the right, and a central brick ridge stack. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has a four-window range that runs at right angles to the street. A 20th-century porch with a plank door is located to the left of the center, and a 20th-century glazed door with a gabled hood is to the right of the center. The ground floor has two-light casement windows, except for a three-light casement window to the left of the center. There are two gabled dormers, and the roof structure features queen-post construction with some windbraces. Inside, there are open fireplaces located to the right of the center.
