Description

The city wall, built in 1485, stretches about 30 yards west from Littlegate Street and is located between Littlegate Street and the Castle Wall. It features rubble footings that are approximately three feet high and four feet thick. The footing of the west wall of Littlegate is also included in this listing. The wall was excavated in 1971.
