Description
Pembroke College's Back Quadrangle dates back to 1485. The north range was constructed between 1844 and 1846, while the west range features a Gothic hall designed by Charles Hayward, made from Taynton stone and other materials with Bath stone dressings. The hall contains tables made by Hugh Prother in 1697. In 1869, the original kitchen was transformed into a servant's hall, and a new kitchen was built according to designs by C. Buckeridge.
