Description

41 and 42 Cornmarket Street is a building originally from the 17th century, likely refronted in the 18th century. It now features a modern restored front with four storeys, constructed of stuccoed timber framing and includes cellars. The building has a moulded cornice above the third floor and a parapet. There are two three-storey, three-sided bays topped with modern modillioned cornices. A band is present at the second floor. The roof is not visible, and there is a modern shopfront added in 1961. Nos 38 to 42 Cornmarket Street form a group.
