Description

26 Ship Street is a house and shop that dates back to the 15th century, with two gables added in the 17th century on the north front. The building is three stories high, constructed from rubble with renewed stone copings and a Welsh slate roof. The ground floor features a shop front, while the first floor and gables have two and three-light renewed stone mullioned windows with cinquefoiled traceried heads and square labels. Inside, the property includes the original doorway, which is now visible at the back of No 26 Cornmarket Street, along with an original wood window frame and roof timbers.
