Description
Nos 1 and 2 Ship Street is a house and shops dating from the early 18th century. The building is constructed of plastered rubble and features cellars, a stone eaves cornice, and two attic dormers beneath a Welsh slate roof. Number 1 has one blocked sash window, one original 18th-century sash window, and one additional sash window on the first and second floors. The ground floor includes similar windows and a doorway with a rectangular fanlight. Number 2 has a modern shop front, with two 19th-century sash windows on the first and second floors. This building is part of a group that includes the Church of St Michael and Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 16.
