Description
No 8 Ship Street is a house and shop dating from the 17th century. It is a three-storey building with a timber frame that is covered in stucco. The building features an overhang on both the first and second floors, and it has rubble cellars. The roof is made of Welsh slate, and there is a red brick stack on the side. The ground floor has a shop front, and there is one sash window on each floor. At the back of the building, part of the City Wall can be seen. Internal alterations were made in 1965. This property is part of a group that includes the Church of St Michael on Cornmarket Street and Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 16 Ship Street.
