Description
10 Ship Street is a house dating from the 18th century, featuring a stuccoed front and a Welsh slate roof, which likely covers 17th century timber-framing. The building has two storeys and prominent gables on both the north and south sides. The front gable includes a sash window set in a moulded wood frame, topped with a moulded cornice. Both floors are fitted with 18th to 19th century sash windows in plain wood frames. On the east side, there is an early 19th century door frame. At the back of the property, remnants of the City Wall can be seen. The building underwent alterations in 1969. It is part of a group that includes the Church of St Michael on Cornmarket Street and Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 16 Ship Street.
