13 Ship Street is a house dating from the early 17th century, which was remodeled in the 18th century. It features a three-storey front that is stuccoed and timber-framed, with cellars and an overhang at the upper floors. The building has a moulded wood cornice and a red brick side stack. The roof includes a long attic dormer that is set back. Each floor has three 18th to 19th century sash windows with plain wood frames, and the over-sailings are supported by wood brackets. The entrance has a six-panel door, and the interior contains contemporary fittings. This property is part of a group that includes the Church of St Michael and Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 16 on Cornmarket Street.
