Description
No. 11 Ship Street is a house that dates back to the 18th century, built over an earlier 17th-century structure. It features a four-storey front that is stuccoed, with a moulded cornice, a parapet, red brick chimney stacks, and a Welsh slate roof, which includes a gabled attic dormer. The ground floor has a rusticated finish. The east side of the building is roughcast, while the west side is stuccoed and partially covered with roof felting. Each floor has a shallow, projecting three-sided bay with sash windows, and the first-floor bay is topped with a moulded cornice. The entrance has a six-panel door. On the west side, there is an 18th to 19th-century rainwater head and pipe. At the back of the property, part of the city wall can be seen. This building is part of a group that includes the Church of St Michael and Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 16 Ship Street.
