Description
39 Pembroke Street is a house that likely dates back to the early 17th century, although its front has been altered. It has a three-storey stuccoed façade, with cellars and a prominent gable featuring a modern four-light casement window. The first floor has a bracketed overhang and a moulded cornice beneath the gable. The ground floor contains a large window that may have originally served as a shop front. On the first floor, there is a modern double sash window set in a moulded wood frame. The rear walls are made of rubble with later brick additions. Inside, there is an early 17th-century staircase. The building was altered in 1959. Nos 36 to 39 Pembroke Street form a group.
