Description
Pembroke College's Staircase 17, dating from 1485, is a three-storey building constructed in stuccoed Headington ashlar with cellars, reflecting late 18th-century architecture. It features a stone band at the first floor, a moulded stone parapet, and a dormer window in the attic. The building has red brick stacks. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century sash windows and a doorway framed in stone with a semi-circular head. The first and second floors each have two 19th-century sash windows, with a blocked window situated between them. The west side and rear of the building are finished in red brick. The entrance to the staircase is marked by a pillared porch.
