Description

This house, located approximately 75 meters south of Sunnyside in Hornton, dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some alterations and additions in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched roof covered with 20th-century tiles, complete with a stone-coped gable on the left side. The house has stone end stacks with brick shafts and a two-unit plan with a rear outshot.

It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range. The entrance, which is approximately central, includes a 20th-century trellis porch and a panelled and glazed door framed by a moulded wood frame and wood lintel. On either side of the entrance are two-light metal casements set in wood frames, also with wood lintels. The first floor has two similar windows. The house features wrought-iron casement fasteners. The interior has not been inspected.
