Description

The Adkins Memorial is a headstone located approximately 4 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Adderbury. It dates from around 1663 and is made of marlstone. The memorial features a recessed inscription panel beneath a scrolled head, which is flanked by drapery. The inscription commemorates John Adkins (or Odkins), who died in 1663. The reverse side of the headstone includes a verse and the date.
