Description

There are two headstones located approximately 9 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St. Mary in Adderbury. These headstones date from the early 18th century and are made of marlstone. They are designed in the Baroque style, featuring segmental heads and swelling oval inscription panels that are framed by intricately carved cartouches depicting cherubs, drapery, and scrolls. One of the headstones also includes a winged skull. The inscriptions on the headstones are mostly illegible.
