Description

This chest tomb, dated 1617 and 1623, is located approximately 3 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St. Michael in Barford St. Michael. It is made of ironstone and features a plain design with incised panels that bear an inscription, which is now illegible. The tomb has a moulded and chamfered stone base and a ledger slab. It is included in the listing for its group value.
