Description

Rose Cottage is an early 17th-century house located on the south side of The Moors in Kidlington. The structure is built of coursed limestone rubble with a half-hipped thatch roof and a brick ridge stack. Originally a two-unit lobby-entry plan, it was later extended to create an L-shaped layout, including a rear right wing. The house has one storey and an attic, featuring a two-window front. A timber lintel sits above the mid-19th century plank front door, centrally located, and C20 two-light casements are in the window openings. The interior was noted to contain old beams, though it has not been inspected.
