Description
Hill Farm House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century and was remodeled in the early 19th century, with restoration completed in 1985. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks, and an early 19th-century stone external end stack finished in brick on the left side. The house has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a four-window range. There is an elliptical stone arch over a 20th-century door located to the right of the center. Flat stone arches are present over 20th-century horned sash windows. The main 20th-century entry is located on the left end wall. At the rear, there is an unusual round stair turret topped with a conical roof, along with 20th-century extensions. Inside, the house features chamfered beams in the outer rooms, an open fireplace in the center, and late 17th-century winder stairs leading to the rear.
