Description
Hill House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan with a rear outshut and stands three storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical three-window range.
The façade includes late 19th-century canted bay windows with moulded cornices and plate-glass sashes, which flank a late 19th-century lean-to porch. There are flat stone arches above the six-pane sashes and three-pane sashes on the second floor. An early 19th-century bracketed gutter is also present. To the right, there is a late 19th-century two-storey bay that is rendered and has a plain tile roof. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. The building is included for its group value.
