Description

Gardeners Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared, coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched red-tile roof with a stone end stack. The building has a two-unit plan, stands two stories plus an attic, and has a two-window range. The entrance is located at the rear. Both the ground floor and first floor each have two 5-light stone mullioned windows, which include hood moulds and label stops, along with small opening casements. There are three gabled roof dormers. A large 20th-century extension has been added, but it is not considered to have special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected.
