Description
The Limes is a house dating from the late 17th century, located on Newnham Manor Lane. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a corrugated iron roof with stone ridge and end stacks that have rendered brick flues. The house has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. A six-panel door is situated just right of centre, framed by a moulded wood surround and a timber lintel. There are three 2-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, with the centre left ground floor window being wider than the others, all featuring timber lintels. To the right, there is a two-light chamfered stone mullion cellar window. The building displays quoins, brick eaves, and stone coped gables with kneelers. A single-storey brick extension is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
