Description
Millhaven Trebor is a pair of model estate cottages built around 1880, with some 20th-century alterations. They are constructed from blue, red, and white brick arranged in contrasting bands, featuring courses of ironstone laid in a herringbone pattern. The cottages have a slate roof and a brick ridge stack.
The buildings are two stories high and have a two-window range. The main façade facing the street showcases 2-light casement windows, all with blue brick sills, chamfered blue brick jambs, chamfered timber lintels, and blue brick hood moulds. An ironstone plinth with a chamfered blue brick top course supports the structure. A first-floor string course made of blue stretcher bricks alternates with red stretchers featuring nailhead insets, complemented by blue brick quoins and moulded red brick eaves. The entrances are located at the rear.
These cottages were built by the Thornton estate as model estate cottages and are included for their group value.
