Description
Tay's Gateway is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed marlstone rubble with wooden lintels and features a concrete plain-tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has three windows, with the entrance located between the second and third bays. Bay three contains old three-light leaded casements, while bay two has similar two-light windows. Bay one has a renewed two-light casement on the first floor and has been extensively rebuilt below, although it retains several fragments of old lintels. The steep-pitched roof includes a stack to the right and a multiple stack to the right of bay one. The rear of the house has small low extensions. The interior has not been inspected.
