Description
The White Horse Public House is a mid-18th century establishment that has undergone 20th-century alterations and additions. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered with 20th-century tiles. The building has a stone end stack and renewed brick ridge stacks, and it follows a 4-unit plan over two storeys with a five-window range.
The entrance is located off-centre to the left and is set within a 20th-century porch. Flanking the entrance are canted bay windows topped with hipped stone slate roofs. There is also a 20th-century entrance to the far left, which includes a porch and door. The windows consist of a three-light wood casement with a wood lintel, two 2-light metal casements with wrought-iron casement fasteners, a sash window, and another 2-light wood casement, all featuring wood lintels.
Inside, the pub contains an inglenook fireplace and chamfered beams, adding to its historical character.
