Description

The M and B Banbury Cross Public House, formerly known as The Wagon and Horses Inn, is likely a 17th-century house that has undergone later alterations. The ground floor is built of brick, while the upper floors are of roughcast with a jettied appearance. The roof is in an "M" shape. The building has two storeys plus an attic, and a three-window front. The ground floor features six renewed sash windows with glazing bars. A carriageway entrance is positioned on the right side, featuring panelled doors. The first floor has two double sash windows with moulded wooden frames and glazing bars, along with a single three-light casement window to the right, secured with a wrought-iron fastener. Two gable-fronted dormers with metal casements and wrought-iron fasteners light the attic. A brick extension to the rear incorporates two- and three-light wooden casement windows. The interior contains chamfered beams.
