Description

The Granary is a 17th-century house, later altered, and now used as a cafe and dwelling. The ground floor was rebuilt in the 20th century. The first floor is jettied and stuccoed, topped by a steeply pitched slate roof with a brick ridge stack on the left. The house has two storeys plus an attic, and originally had a two-window front. The front of the cafe is of 20th-century design. The two first-floor windows have sash glazing with moulded wooden frames and 3-pane width glazing bars. Two gabled roof dormers are present. A moulded wooden eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The interior of the first-floor rooms contains beams. The ground floor was remodelled in the 20th century. The property is included on the list for group value.
