Description

The Woolpack Public House and the left part of Compare Insurance is a building originally constructed in the 17th century, with later alterations. It is made of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a slate roof with a brick end stack. The ground floor has been altered in the 20th century, and there is a cased entrance. The building has one storey plus an attic and a four-window range. To the left, there is a three-light window, while the right part has a renewed window with glazing bars. The attic floor features four wooden mullioned and transomed windows, each with opening casements and wrought-iron casement fasteners. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace with a chamfered bressumer and chamfered beams.
