Description
The Banbury Barbeque is a house that has been converted into a shop and residence, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof and features brick end stacks. The building stands three storeys high and has a total of three window openings. There are two entrances: the central entrance has a four-panelled door with an overlight, while the entrance to the left includes a glazed door and a shop front with a 19th-century cast-iron canopy above. To the right, there is a plain window.
On the first floor, there are three sash windows with stone sills, each having four panes. The second floor mirrors this arrangement with three similar windows. All windows are adorned with keystoned voussoirs, and the sashes are horned. The building also features rusticated stone quoins. Inside the right part of the building (35A), there is a dog-leg staircase. Additionally, a rear brick extension houses a fireproofed record room on the first floor.
