Description

This chest tomb, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 3 metres east of the chancel of the Church of Saint Nicholas in Tadmarton. It is made of limestone and features plain sides with an inscription panel on the left end. The top is a thick slab. The inscription is partially legible and reads: "Heare lyeth the body of John(?) (?) Anno Domini 1665."
