Description

No. 6 Tubbs Lane is a cottage, likely once a mill house, dating from 1769 according to the datestone, with parts that may be older. The building was extended in the 20th century and is constructed of limestone rubble, partly coursed, with wooden lintels and a concrete interlocking-tile roof. It has a single-unit plan that extends to the rear and stands two storeys high. The front features two windows, a doorway to the right, and three renewed two-light casements. To the left, there is an area of random rubble walling, marked by a straight joint, which is probably older than the section dated 1769. The interior has not been inspected.
