Description

Thatchover is a C17 house, originally subdivided. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The house is arranged in an L-shape. The main range is a single storey with an attic. The irregular front has four windows, with a doorway located to the right of centre, next to a shallow projection. The windows have renewed casements; those in the attic are mostly half dormers. The main range has two ridge stacks and a gable stack to the left, rising from a stone chimney projection. A rear wing returns to the right and also has casements and a gable stack. Internally, some original spine and lateral beams are present, featuring matrices for soffit tenons with diminished haunches.
